Barcelona may have finally got their man after a long transfer tussle to seal the signing of a highly-rated Manchester City winger.
New Barca boss Xavi is said to be keen to add some much-needed width to his new side in the January transfer window and he may have finally got his man after the club was linked with the likes of Ferran Torres and Raheem Sterling of Manchester City.
And with one winger reportedly departing the Etihad Stadium, another could be on their way in as City have reportedly joined the race for FC Porto’s Colombian winger Luis Diaz, who has previously been linked with Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea.
And the club could also swoop for a full-back from one of their Premier League rivals next month, according to reports.
Here are all the latest Man City transfer rumours.
City are one of several sides said to be monitoring Wolves full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The report adds that Ait-Nouri’s current club Wolves could miss out on a transfer windfall if they agree to sell the player, though, as his former club Angers insisted on inserting a 50 percent sell-on clause when they agreed to let the player join the midlands club permanently last summer.
City join Luiz Diaz race
Manchester City are said to have joined the race for highly-rated Porto winger Luis Diaz, according to reports.
Diaz could be a potential replacement for Riyad Mahrez, the report adds, should the player push for a move to French giants Paris Saint Germain.
Barcelona ‘closing in’ on Torres
Barcelona are said to be “closing in” on securing a January transfer for City’s Spanish winger Ferran Torres, it is reported.
90min reports that City are now “ready to sanction” the player’s departure in the upcoming January transfer window and that a deal could even be agreed before the new year.
Barca were previously linked with a move for Raheem Sterling – but the Torres deal would mean an offer for the England international is no longer possible.
It is also reported that Barcelona will seek to take Torres on an initial loan before an obligation to buy the player in the summer.
