Emmerdale spoilers reveal more tension next week, as Marlon Dingle continues to clash with Bob Hope over daughter April’s torment.
April, 13, has been the victim of online bullying, with people trolling her on social media with nasty comments.
She recently discovered the person who started it all, and encouraged others to bully her, was her own aunt and friend Cathy Hope.
April became too scared to leave the house, and Cathy watched on smugly when she saw how upset she was.
But she soon felt guilty when she realised how low April felt and confessed all, leaving the family in tatters.
April’s grandfather Bob, who is Cathy’s father, was mortified to learn what his daughter had been doing to her own family.
Questioning his role as a father, it wasn’t long before he and Marlon came to blows over how to handle the situation.
Marlon refused to allow Cathy near April, and soon that rule applied to Bob too – while Cathy’s attempt to do a runner led to April’s stepmother Rhona attacking Cathy’s stepmother Brenda.
In the fallout it has remained awkward, with the family torn in two – while April is not happy about the repercussions.
Still struggling with adjusting back to normal after recent events at the school, she’s upset next week when she catches her dad and grandfather clashing yet again.
She begins sobbing as she hears Marlon telling Bob to keep away from her for good, with it not being what she wants.
It isn’t long before April can’t hold all her emotions in any longer, and she turns on her dad over his recent behaviour.
Marlon blames Bob for this as he has it out with him again, but will April’s words encourage them to talk things through?
Whether the men and the family as a whole can call a truce for April’s sake remains to be seen.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
